Watch the Gap!

One day while I was on the platform waiting for my train to arrive, I looked down and saw the above quote, “WATCH THE GAP.”

I’ve seen this writing many times before, but for some reason this time the warning appeared clearer than ever and caught my attention. A gap is defined as, “a space between two things or a hole in the middle of something solid.”

Aha! Could this be it?! “…a hole in the middle of something solid.” Could this be the reason those three simple words caught my eye? It was as if I was being reminded to, “Hold on. Don’t grow weary in well-doing. Keep moving. Continue doing what’s right. Be alert, but do not worry, nor be afraid. You’re almost there. Don’t give up. You’re close to something solid!”

While in the midst of transitioning, it’s easy to get lost in the “gap.”

To watch something is to look at or observe attentively, carefully, or closely over a period of time… To watch something is to maintain an interest in, exercise care, caution, or restraint about… To watch something is to remain awake for the purpose of…

Watch the Gap is the perfect forewarning and reminder to not lose your footing while in transition.

Just because there is a seemingly “empty” space doesn’t mean you are supposed to stop moving. No! The gap causes you to slow down, pay attention, and to be more alert. But it shouldn’t stop you. Gaps provide the preparation, aligning, and acceleration that’s needed before the elevation can fully manifest. An elevation that will place you on dependable, reliable, quality, and well-established solid ground.

In closing, this month I want to encourage you to remain ignited while God bridges the gap…or while He helps you to cross over. October is a very victorious month! It’s the 10th month of the year, 10 being the biblical number of completeness in divine order. It is also the end of the first month in the 4th quarter. There are only 2 months left. Get excited, and finish strong!

As you continue to journey through 2017, remain alert, pay attention to detail, stay committed, do your part, keep moving, P.R.E.S.S. and…

Passionately Written,
Cassondra Lenoir
